Distillery District Weddings – oh how we love thee.
The vintage charm of it always makes couples in love stand out and stops onlookers in their tracks. We adore shooting weddings there not only because it’s close to home, but because of the history and character it possesses. It’s for these reasons that Erin + Nick decided to get married there and we’re so glad they did!
Erin + Nick are the kind of people that make you feel comfortable right off the bat. They are the kindest people and they compliment each other gracefully. They love boardgames, doggies, and doughnuts – so yeah, they’re our kind of people! The day started out as it usually does for us on wedding days – Brandon and I split up and went to the hotel rooms of the bride and groom separately. The girls were in silk robes – which looked hella comfy, so I had to take some adorable photos with them on before they put their dresses on. Erin was calm and reserved all morning but her mom on the other hand couldn’t hold in the tears as she zipped up Erin’s dress. Side note – shout out to all the moms out there who help their daughters every step of the way on their wedding day! You ladies rock!
Erin + Nick opted for a first look on their day – which was awesome! It gave us the flexibility in the timeline to get awesome shots of them and their friendly wedding party before the ceremony. The day was pretty overcast which is pretty much a photographers dream, but at one point the sun burst out of the grey sky and made an appearance just before we ran inside from the cold breeze. The ceremony and reception was held at The Loft in The Distillery and after dinner and speeches Erin + Nick danced the night away with their family and friends.
